Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans! Am I the only one who is working feverishly to get Christmas cards done? I have a couple of pre-teen, early teen age nephews I have to make cards for......and on their wish lists are money and gift cards along with a ton of other things of course! I didn't want to make a card and just stick a gift card inside so I did the layout below...........with a twist! I made a pocket inside to hold the gift card or money depending on what I decide to give.
As usual, I started by colouring my image with alcohol markers. I fussy cut Rudolph's scarf and added Stickles to the snow drops on the background paper and the trim on Santa's hat and suit. The image is fussy cut and put on a background of snow banks and die cut trees. The sentiment is stamped directly on to the snow. Rudolph's nose is coloured with a sparkly red marker which is hard to see in the photo. Then, I grabbed my patterned paper and cut out the pieces I needed and stamped Santa for a second time on the part of the card my handwritten message will go.
Howdy - MichelleO here today and I have just fallen in love with the cute animals in High Hopes Stamps new Woodland Friends Release! This week I had some fun coloring "Fish Kiss"
I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added Marvy Snow Marker for well..the snow. I used Core'dinations brown card stock for the base that I sanded the edges, then matched up with papers from Paper Studios Haberdashy collection. I sewed all they layers down, and then added dots of Viva Decor Graphite Pearl Pen.
Inside more of the same papers.

I thought this image was perfect to use on a Christmas tag! I love that you can stamp the sentiment in the middle of the image! This sentiment is also from the New Release and is called "Good Times". My Tag is decorated with papers from the Carta Bella Christmas Delivery collection. I added some leafy branches, tiny flowers, ribbon, Crystal Stickles and lace to decorate up this cutie!
I am so excited to finally be able to share what I've been working
on for the last couple weeks with you guys!!!
I started by gently distressing the edges of my DP with Tim Holtz Distress tool. Them used my favorite Distress ink Vintage photo, Diamond Stickles and pieces of white doily to embellish the edges.
I watercolor my image with Gansai Tambi watercolors on a manila tag.
When the image was dry I fussy cut it leaving a small border. Them used ice stickles and mini
pom-pom to embellish those cute birds.
Here is a closer look!
