Light Those Candles

This cute little fireman and his dog are racing in to save the day and help you put out your birthday candles!

My younger brother was a volunteer fire fighter for years and he loved doing it. I don't think I ever saw him with a Dalmation tagging along but I did hear some fun stories over the years.

I also don't think he would have volunteered to help me put out my birthday candles with his fire truck and hose.........well actually - he would have - he does like to bug and tease me...sigh......

I coloured this cutie with my alcohol markers and cut it out using a stitched square die and added it to some fun party paper from Photo Play. The sentiment was masked off (it is only part of a sentiment), stamped and cut out using a circle die. Some fun matching enamel dots finish off my card.

American Cowthic

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I am having so much fun pulling out some of my older favorite High Hopes Stamps. The stamp I used this week just always makes me giggle a bit...

American Cowthic - Love it!

Seriously isn't it just one great image?? Love this cow couple! I colored with my copics (colors below) and then found a piece of bandana paper in my scraps. Seemed perfect to me. Matted on black card stock and then on a white card stock base. I sewed all the layers down and then added some Viva Decor Black Paper pen for some "dots" on the corners. Simple but it makes me happy..

Copic colors used -

Have you ever taken some time and just surfed all around the High Hopes Stamps Web site and seen all the fabulous images in their inventory? You will be amazed at just how many you fall in love with! Seriously so much fun!

Head over to the store HERE and have some fun! Happy Valentines Day!

Thanks so much -

Spring is Coming!

Hi HH Fans!
I've been so tired of winter and the thought of Spring just makes me feel happy! I decided it was time to make a fun Spring themed card. I am using the "2 Chicks" and "Sweet Heart Frame" stamps from High Hopes Stamps.
I chose paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6x6 collection. First I stamped my Frame and then added the Chicks inside.  I have to admit..... the sky is a "mistake coverup" lol! First I had masked off all the images and tried to do a Distress Ink Cloud sky but I messed it up. Since my whole image was coloured and I didn't want to waste it, I took the Distress Ink and a water brush and filled in the sky. I'm not entirely in love with it so I added a few die cut clouds and it seemed better.
Copics Used:
Y13, Y15, Y17, Y21, Y23
YG21, YG23, YG25
BG11, BG13
RV11, RV13, RV14
YR04, YR07

Love Birds!

Happy Monday,
 High Hopes  Friends!

My post today features Love Birds

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolor with Gansai Tambi watercolors. For pattern paper I am using an old 12"by 12" paper pad "Baby Mine" from Carta Bella. For embellishments; I used fabric and paper flowers from my stash, white acrylic paint, carnation pink Nuvo crystal drops, oval die, black cardstock, candy dots and cream thread.

Here is the inside!
To finish I used one of my favorite sentiments from  High Hopes Stamp and used more of the Carta Bell pattern paper. Hope you had enjoy my birthday card today!
That's all for today hope you have enjoyed today's post.
