Happy Thanksgiving

I just love this time of year...not because of all things pumpkin spice but because of all the awesome excuses for card making!

Teacher cards, my sons birthday, Halloween, and today....Thanksgiving!

I used the new Chillin' Tommy Turkey image from High Hopes.

I colored the image with Prisma color pencils and blended with blending stumps and gamsol.

I used the "outside the box" technique to trim around the pumpkins on the image.

The paper was some scrap in my stash.  It is probably from Michael's or Hobby Lobby!

The ribbon is orange seam binding.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.

Elvira's Kitty In Training!

Hi High Hope Fans!
It's Tuesday so it's my turn to share a card from the High Hopes Stamps New Release called Winter/ Fall Fun. Today I decided to use the super cute "Elvira's Kitty In Training". I thought the sentiment "Wicked" was perfect for this image as I can't imagine Elvira or the kitty could ever be wicked as they are just too adorable!!
I'm loving the papers from the Doodle Bug Boos and Brews 6x6 collection. They are just so bright and fun! I stamped and coloured my image and then used my Silhouette machine to cut Elvira and 2 background layers out. I did add clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to all the orange parts but it doesn't show in the photograph. A few YNS Gumdrops and a sticker finished off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: Eoo, E11, E21 R20
Hair:YG23, YG25, YG17
Witch outfit: BV02, BV04, BV08
Blacks: W5, W7, W9
Oranges: YR04, YR07, YR09

Creating A Snow Scene Tutorial!

Hello Crafter!
Carolina here, sharing my first tutorial and showcasing this new
stamp called 'Penguin Family Igloo' from  High Hopes 'Fall/Winter Stamps Release'

To begin my card, I first stamped 'Penguin Family Igloo' and coloured with alcohol markers.
Then fussy cut it, leaving a small white border. To embellish my penguin family, I add a mini pom-pom on one of the penguin hat, diamond stickles and gold gelly pen.
Copic List; 0 C1 C3 C5 C7 C9 B000 BG13 BG15 BG18 YR07 YR09 and 0

This are the craft supplies I used to created my snow scene.

To begin my snow scene I first distressed my card base with 'broken china' distress ink.
After my panel was all color I used S.U 'softly falling' embossing folder.

With the end of my paint brush I added some white paint in some of the snow dots.
While the paint was still wet I added glitter on.

To finish my scene I add more white paint here and there.
Die cut some Lawn Fawn stitched hillside border and assemble my snow scene
by adding 3D foam tape, BOBUNNY 'altitude collection design paper and layers
of white & black cardstock.

This is how my snow scene look!

May sure to stop by again soon for more ideas and inspiration!

Happy Mail

Happy Sunday!!

I love making cards, but I don't really send that many cards.. hmmm.. that is about to change!!
Because who doesn't get happy receiving a card (better than getting bills, right?) I know I do!

Today I would like to show you a stamp called Happy Mail (that's what it's all about, getting someone happy!!)

I really, really, REALLY like the High Hopes Hedgehog stamps.. They look so cuddly!!

For this card I wanted the stamp to pop out, so I didn't follow the monthly sketch or used dessinpapers.. just colouring up this beauty is enough for me today.

For 'snowflakes' in the blue background I used the Colorless Blender, just put some dots in the blue background and it looks like snow to me! Love it!

Supplies used:
Papers: Bazzill Basic kraft and white
Other: snowflake dies and cloud border die

Well I'm off to post some cards, are you going to send out some cards too today??

Thanks for stopping by!

HAlloween ATC holder -- EEK!! Hgh Hopes

 Hi there and Happy Saturday!
Just playing around with this fun web design from High Hopes!
This little ATC holder was created with ...

The  box was created by using two die cut envelopes that were glued together to create a mini box.  I added a handmade ATC (Artist trading card) and a Tag that I will use to write a note on the back for a friend!
Filled up the box with the handmade items.....  It would also be fun to add a few treats too!
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on purple card stock.  I added a punched whole to the tag and tied purple ribbon into a bow.   The spider has white floss tied around it and hot glued to the "EEK" decal!
Coloured with Copics markers #'s CO,C1,C3,C5,C7,Y21

Trim, cob webs, spiders and bows were added to the box along with come sheer web fabric.  I used a pinch of hot glue on the fabric to keep it in place.
Thanks for peeking, hope you get crafty this weekend!

Eat More Pie

Hey Stampers!
Happy Saturday!!

Since Thanksgiving is only about a month away here in the US, I just couldn't resist creating a card using one of the new Fall/Winter Release Rubber Stamps called "Tommy Turkey"

He's a sweetie!
And he obviously has an agenda for all those apples! Don't you think?

First I stamped my image using StazOn Jet Black and my favorite Misti Stamping Tool.
Then I colored Tommy with Copics and paired him up with the new Buncha Scraps "Autumn Love" Pattern Papers. I think the colors worked really well together.

The base of my card was made with Kraft Lightweight Cover Stock Paper

The Stamps: "Tommy Turkey" (TT045)  & Sentiment: "Gobble Wobble" (HH036)

Copics: E00 E11 E13 E15  E18 YR65 YR15 YG51 & Spectrum Noir: DR3

I punched the border out with an EK Hearts & Scroll Border Punch and added a strip of the "Pumpkin Gingham" paper in the center.

I hand cut the Pumpkin Spice Plaid Tag and added another white tag for the sentiment and tied them together with coordinating baker's twine and topped my card off with a couple YNS White Gumdrops

I took the High Hopes Monthly challenge!

Bat Friends

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!  For today's post, I am using some new release stamps from the Winter/Fall Fun Collection...Be sure to see below for details, on how you could WIN some cute High Hopes Stamps of your very own!!!
This is Bat Friends (TT043) and Block Happy Halloween sentiment (HH031).  Such an adorable and fun image to colour!
To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour both the main image and sentiment, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on all the bat's noses and the vampire's bow tie.

For the card base and image layer, I decided on a piece of SU Lavender Lace cardstock.  (Just a side note here, the bat's wings are actually the same colour as the purple coloured cardstock in real life-my phone camera and I don't see eye-to-eye with certain colours when taking photos! LOL!) The designer papers are from Doodlebug-Ghouls & Goodies 6x6 Paper Pad, along with YNS-Spooky Cute 4.25" x 5.5" Paper Pad.  To complete this card, a bunch of YNS Gumdrops were added.
Supplies Used:
